  • What road tyres?

    Hi Folks,
Just got myself a '94 3.0 and am so far very chuffed. The dunlops on it have plenty of tread but are quite cracked so will soon be replacing them. As I will rarely need any real offroad grip Im after tyres that are good on tarmac. The Dunlops squealed their heads off when I took a roundabout in the dry yesterday at a pretty modest speed so I dont fancy them again. It has standard wheels and most of the threads I've seen on here are more for off road and about larger sizes.
Any thoughts on some good road tyres folks?
    Cheers

Not really qualified to suggest road rubber but don't be put off the Dunlops just because the ones you've got fitted squeal. The Japanese rubber seems to; a) use wierd compounds and b) not survive the sea trip very well. UK sourced Dunlops might do a perfectly good job.

I had Avon Rangers on my truck and found them fine on the road, when I upgraded to my bfg 32's I put the avons on the wifes surf and they are still only about half worn 2 years later
