I have had one of the plug in the ciggy lighter compressors for a couple of years and until yesterday had no problems.
I set the pressure to 33PSI and went round topping up the tyres. It has an auto release, so that if you select a pressure lower than is already in the tyre, it will deflate it to the programmed pressure.
I got in and drove off as soon as I had finished and noticed loads more roll on the back end. I headed straight back in, found my old fashioned tire pressure guage and reinflated. The rear o/s had 25PSI and all the others 33PSI. I checked the setting on the compressor and still showing 33PSI.
I double checked this morning before hitting the motorway and again on reaching my destination- still 33PSI.
For what they cost one of the pen style pressure guages is a good investment.
Safe Surfing.
