picked up my surf after having a new cylinder head fitted only to find out that the turbo's now not working.any suggestions anyone?ive got an idea that i may need a new one.

Take it back and ask them to sort it, it sounds nothing more than one of the vacuum hoses has not been put back on or connected wrongly.Say not always what you know, but always know what you say.

A new turbo from toyota is around £1400 and a refurbed one around £600 - 800 (from a decent refurbers) Just search on the internet for turbo refurbers. There was one on ebay last week for £50. The one on the surf is a very common one. I think its a Garrat.
