oil & filter change

Just done an oil & filter change,oil 10/40 semi synthetic.Purchased both from local car shop.On starting the oil light seems to take longer to go out than before the oil and filter change.I've used the oil before but bought the filters from roughtrax the last oil change could it be the filter is not as good as the roughtrax one.The last time the oil light went out much quicker with new oil & filter.

Roughtrax sell genuine Toyota filters that have a non-return valve fitted, so that oil is retained in the filter. Milners and others don't, so the oil has to be pumped round a bit before it gets up to pressure. Either work but for peace of mind you might want to buy from Barry again next time.

The clean oil you put in will be less thick and gunky than the stuff you dropped out. My oil pressure guage takes a little longer to reach normal after each oil change.
