From what I've read in the past, it was the LWB.

I've just finished fitting a Colorado LWB bar to my 96 185, supplied by fityourowntowbars.co.uk.
Price was £ 79 plus £12 p and p, and included electrics, bumper protector and tow ball.
        Service was excellent too.
        Beat that.
        Adrian.

PS I've had my Surf 2 days, after owning a 92 Range Rover - I'm not disappointed!

PPS In 4WD should the multimode display flash coninuously?

The 4wd indicator will flash when it is not properly engaged / disengaged. Will light steadily when properly engaged.

If permenantly flashing could indicate a problem with the transmission in either the transfer box or the ADD system

flashes until properly engaged, sometimes takes a few seconds... lift off the power and it'll drop in.

              Thanks for the comments.
I suspected a split vacuum pipe for the ADD, took it backto dealers and was proved right!
Now I've got to source a wrap round bull bar, I suspect the Colorado will fit, its only 1 inch wider at the indicators, but does anyone know?

Mines a gazunder (not heard it called this before, but
I'm a newbie!!) and it was the easiest fit I've ever done.
There's approx 1-1/2 " clearance between the bar and the tyre, should be OK with any standard rubber.
