Hi All
Areials on surfs Are they normaly electric? just bought a ssrx and cant get the radio to work its one of those Alpine jobs with a graphic eqaliser underneath no joy on the alpine website i think its too old and the power button is missing (yes I should have checked !)
anyways after a quick moan via email to the "importer of quality vehicles" i thought it may be easier to replace it
So a: how do i get the old one out without damaging the already damaged trim (which I also moaned about)
And b: how do i get to the areial its on nearside front wing (Looks original stainless with 3 notches on the bezzell)

To remove the aerial you need to unscrew the chrome ring you described, and remove the plastic liner in the wheelarch to get at the plug.

If the aeriel is power controlled by the radio and the radio dont work neither will the aeriel . Once you have the radio out try to power up the feed to the aeriel that comes from the radio before taking out the aeriel , it may work .
