My 2" lift springs have lost there lift under any load so have just ordered these.

I love mine to bits, they are great. Not as fancy as Jotto's, just got external valves on mine... and no guage...

There is also an Intelliride system that monitors the level and adjusts...

If you buy the simple kit I did from the European disties in Ireland, it would have set you back £149.00 plus shipping.

All in from the States was about £70.00 odd plus £12.00 duty, or something very close to that.

Looks great to me. I need to lift my arse too and reckoned on some uprated springs but I'm pretty sure I wont be up to fitting them myself. You still have to remove the springs to slot in the air-springs I assume.

Where did you guys put the compressor?

Am I correct in thinking that these are air shocks rather than air springs? Do they replace the shocks and the springs?

Plus, if I was looking for a kit that replaced the existing set up, and was the easiest option to use ( I tow a 23ft caravan ) what should I be looking at?

Additionally, if I fit these on the rear, what should I be fitting at the front?

I have taken the view that the Surf is going to become my hobby horse and that I am going to improve it as much as I can (3ltr '95), so I am not averse to spending a bit of dosh.

Saw a nice resprayed one on the Avon ring road today, with a gradient paint job over the bonnet and nice shiny chrome wheels. Looked quality!!

but it is considerably cheaper than a 'decent' lift, and allows you to level out when needed rather than prepare for the worst case scenario, and live with the ride the rest of the time.


Says he who has put them at 35psi for a heavy load, and left them there long since depositing the heavy load...

Well I finally got these on wednesday and with help from Nigel(Koi) got it all fitted thursday. what a difference they make to the ride and height, with 30psi in the bags it lifts the back of the truck about 2.5" but a bit to harsh on the road but should be fine with the trailer on. For day to day driving I have found that about 10 to 15 psi is fine and gives about 1.5" of lift remembering that I normally have a heavy tool box, welding set and a few other tools in the back. All in all very pleased with them and can't believe how much the pro-comp springs have sagged in a year and a bit??

Will add pics and a rough guide on how we fitted it all in the next couple of days.
