Heater Problem (absolutely stumped)

Does anyone know what the heater matrix core is made of ?

I'm guessing copper or a Ali?

It's fixed now and for anyone else who finds this thread, on my model (K reg 2.8 non Turbo diesel) there is a flap that opens and closes with the heater valve that lets heat out of the matrix box.

If you look from the passenger side of the car footwell towards the feet heater out-let you can see the cable and the white control arm.

My cable had come off and when you know where to look it was a 30 sec job to reconnect it, without removing anything to get to it.

I'm very pleased it now works

I am so glad I found this thread, as I was in the exact same head scratching situation. I eventually found this thread (thank god, before I tore the whole dash apart)!!, Popped the clip back on and happy days!!, I am cosy again
