annoying vibration

anyone else had this problem,

when pulling off at low revs there is an annoying vibration coming from around the transmission tunnel.
its sounds like the exhaust is knocking against the underneath although i have had a look and the exhaust is solid and clear from any contact with the body.
its not a metalic sound so i cant see there being any reason to think its coming from the transmission.

It could possibly be the U J on the propshaft. Or the prob out of balance.

Quote "Universal Joint has internal circlips. Same UJ for all the rear shaft, also fits the UJ on the front prop shaft at the Differential end, NOT the wide angle joint at the Transfer box end on the front prop."
They were easy enough to change on cars but never done one on a surf . I would have thought it would be straight forward.

Anyone else changed one ???????

Roughtrax sell the UJ's for around £15.00. I may be needing on myself too as i am having the same problem as you are. But i may also need shockers as i have just changed a saggy back end on mine. Maybe my shocks are as bad as my springs were.

after all that it was the air box that was loose and vibratung through the body.
