fitting rear seatbelts - help please.

I am in the process of fitting new rear seatbelts (lap and diag), and when the new unit (reel was fitted) the mechanism has 'locked', and am unable to pull any more belt from the reel. (if you see what i mean), so cant bolt the bit under the seat.

the belt I removed has don ethe same thing.

Instructions say should this happen pull release and pull again, but nothing is budging - on either the new or the old.

I am sure it must be very simple to sort - but i am blowed if I can suss it.

help please!!

have you fitted them in the right sides? they will only run in one position, so if its not at the right angle it locks...
