Back seat folding blues

Help!

I cant lift the back seat up! I can fold the backs down, but how the hell do I lift the lower parts? I can feel metalwork down there, and after much scraped knuckles, still cant figure how to lift them. What am I doing wrong?!

I cant lift the back seat up! I can fold the backs down, but how the hell do I lift the lower parts? I can feel metalwork down there, and after much scraped knuckles, still cant figure how to lift them. What am I doing wrong?!

there's a strap tucked down the back in the middle of each cushion pull it up to release the seats.

The strap is usually next to or between the rear seatbelts. Just pull and it releases the locking clips.
