steering rack bushes

hello all i have just has my surf serviced and whilst at the garage i had a call from the bloke to say that the bushes on the steering rack were worn and need to be replaced .so i made afew phone calls and i understand that you an only get the big "D" shaped bush and the two cotton reel shaped ones are almost imposible to get hold of.so i have got in contact with a friend who owns a machine shop and he is going to drop my rack and make some new nylon bushes for me just wanted to no what everyone thinks realy.i will be getting a few sets made for spares or if anyone else is intrested in a set cheers mat
