  • My tips for a Rear Spring change

I found some excellent details on rear spring changing for my KZN130.
My tips for a successful change are:
    1. Use spring compressors. When you have removed the spring, mark up the position of the compressors on your new spring. This speeds up the refitting.
    2. Once the new spring is in place, use a jack to compress the spring further. That way it saves you winding out the tension on the compressors.

The whole job took me about 2.5 hours. The first spring around 1.5 hours, the 2nd spring (on the drivers side), 30 minutes. The other 0.5 hours is for putting the tools away! It is a very easy job and because of the site, it saved me around 70 pounds to have them fitted by a local garage.

What springs did you fit? Were you fitting to get a lift or just replace old sagging springs?

    Cheers

Old sagging springs, fitted the Milner ones (20% stronger) at 40pounds +VAT.
