I had 265/70/R15 Yokohama road tyres. These were replaced with BFG All Terrains 31x10.50xR15. Very little difference in size. BUT hold in the mud MUCH better. Thought about the Mud Terrains, but to be honest thought I do too much road work to warrant that - If I continue to offroad a lot I'll think about MT's next time. The A/T's have so far been great. They haven't been slippy on wet road, they are not noticably noisier on the road unless it's very rutted (tho that could just be cause the cd's always on so loud lol), big test will be how they handle at the pit this sunday...Linda

for most people who do onle a little off roading thena 70 30 split will do , the at are about a 50 50 split <linda> and a mt would be more like a 30 70 split and you will suffer on road with these namely v noisey and poor grip in the wet , if you want to go off road then best bet is to buy a spare set of rims and a set of remould mt`s should be able to get a set with rims for less than £400 and this would be best way to go as you will spend more time on road than off road also the more off road biased the tyres are the quicker they will wear out.so much to do , so little money , so little time

Then in the spring the road tyres will go back on for the drier conditions - after all had no probs with them all this summer - which shd reduce the wear on the A/T's. For me the A/T's seem the best solution and have been fine on the fields and tracks round home in the two weeks they have been on.
I'm happy with my choice for me - up to others to make their own decisions....Linda
