Right, dont give a fiddlers its gloves off hehe! There lots of dumb questions out there I reckon and I've probably got all of them. Anyway heres one of them, anyone else feel like comin out ..... go for it

Q: I can take the rear driveshaft off at the diff end and at the transfer case end but I cant tell a propshaft from a liftshaft.....? Whats the diff end called and whats the t/case end called?

Each end peice is called the Prop shaft flange, the bits it bolts to each end are called companion flanges, one on the diff, one on the t/case.

Thats it, you just have to remember what way round the propshaft goes on.

Can't you turn them round so that they wear evenly? It would be handy for un-twisting them after giving it large on the loud pedal.
      It's only a hobby!
