Well what do ya know! Just topped up the oil and had a look for my knocking noise (dodgy bush etc) and found adjusters on my suspension when i was greasing the bump stops!
Twizzled the adjuster thingies and the Surf no longer looks like its trying to wheelie when I accelerate!!! Off to test it now - wheeeeeee
Looks like a have Rancho shocks fitted and can put off buying the procomps for now :phew:

Cool, i found rancho adjustables on my 1st gen too, shame they're about 5 - 10 years old though by the look of them (one is leaking too).

shame my brakes have messed up today - sounds like a vacuum pump to me.
