injector pump

need a new injector pump for my surf 3.0l 1KZ-TE. been told by toyota that only a new one will do!
Say that i cant put a second hand one on cos they are chipped to the engine.
also said that to get mine reconditioned would cost £700 - £800 and take 3-4 weeks.
the new pump from toyota?.........£1400 + VAT comes to about £1900 including VAT and fitting!!!!

Someone please tell me theres a cheaper way.

Whats the problem with it?. I had problems with my 3.0 not long ago that I thought was the pump ,but turned out to be summat a lot cheaper.
