Bit of a co-incidence this - i have a bit of play in the idler arm & have just got new bushes from Roughtrax - £5.88p. Not got round to doing it yet but looks a doddle to do, so please correct me if i'm wrong....
      1. crack off the steering ball joint with an appropriate splitter.
      2. Remove the idler arm - 3 bolts.
      3. Prise off the top cover, remove the nut & the arm should drop out of the housing.
      4. replace bushes, grease up & stick it all back together.

If anyone's done this job & there's anything else, please let me know.

      Cheers....

Check the shaft itself for wear and also straightness. They have been known to bend and this will destroy new bushes fairly quickly.
