  • sump plug 2.4td......

    can anyone put up a picture of its location or point me to one ???
    i need to change my oil and filter. i have a new sump plug and washer to go on...
    i need to spend as little time as possible fumbling around on my back as 2yrs ago, i had open heart surgery, so if i know where to look.....

    it's a 14mm at the middle at rear of the sump, it's easily accesable, and you do not need to remove anything else to get to it. (do not confuse it with the gearbox drain plug), before you replace it, there is a device that'll make future changes soooo much easier, go here http://www.difflock.com/cgi-bin/wm10...n&item_id=DF50it's a sump plug drainer pipe attachement thingy, click the link. i got one and it's grreat



    if you are doing the filter too, you will need to remove an access plate under the wheel arch 4x10mm bolts, the plate is in line with the filter, you cannot remove it via the engine bay. you'll need approx 6l of oil

      thanks for that. yeah, them thingies, when i used to drive heavy plant,they were fitted standard to volvo dumptrucks, remove dust-cap, screw on the pipe and, hey presto, wonderful invention
