  • Pulling to the side while braking

I noticed today that my Surf is pulling to the right when I brake. It's noticeable even under light braking, and is accompanied by a definate 'tug' on the steering wheel if I brake hard. The only thing that has happened in the last few days that might have caused anything was haveing to brake very hard to avoid rear ending a White-Van-Man who suddenly decided to stop in the middle of the road, I ended up locking the rear wheels and skidding to a halt.

    What's it likely to be?

OK, meet you half way, maybe around Coventry area?

Mind you, we'll have to be careful which bits we swap, otherwise one car may end doing the splits.

Could be a combination of things....

        Brake Pads
Pistons locking up one side more than the other
The Mud getting into things....mine pulled to the left for a while since off-roading and the mud getting everywhere

sure someone else will be able to iron the problem further

Check your tyre pressure, I find that makes a difference also.
