Gear Selector Bulb Replacement

I have just noticed that the light on my gear selector (94 3.0L Auto) is out. I doubt if it has a fuse of its own, and everything else is working fine, so I am assuming that its the bulb that needs replaced.

Is this easy to do? Just how much of the central console around the gear selector has to come out?

Gear Selector Bulb Replacement

Hi it is easy ,unscrew 2 screws front of console 2 at the back and 2 inside the armrest and it all lifts away to give access to bulb holder.The lamp holder may be a little tight to turn with your fingers to remove, so a pair of long nose pliers make the job easy.

Thanks. Does anyone know what kind of bulb it is? Would rather have one handy when I get in about it.

Gear Selector Bulb Replacement

Hi believe that they are called capless bulbs and i think that they are 1.2w .They measure about 4mm x 10mm and push into the holder, most auto shops will know what you mean.
