  • Will US 4Runner headlights fit my '92 SSR-X?

    Hi,

I need to get some replacement headlights for my Surf that point the dipped beam in the other direction (they're for mainland European use, and unfortunately the standard LHD Surf headlight isn't adjustable).

I've had some prices from local suppliers which are frankly, ridiculous (£100+ per light). However, I've seen some 4Runner lights on ebay in the US which in theory could work (as the yanks drive on the same, wrong, side of the road as those crazy French types).

An example of which is here:

Does anyone know whether a US light like this would fit into a standard Jap import, LHD SSR-X?

    Cheers,
    t

EDIT: Actually, this looks quite interesting as well:

    What do you guys think?

As long as they are for the same type front - i.e aero style or old narrow body style then they should fit. Maybe need some modification of the adjusting points as the adjusters maybe in a different place but other than that I'd go for it.

    Cheers

Thanks for that - from the pictureon ebay , I'd say they were Aero - wouldn't you?

Also - I've edited my post above with a 'euro' conversion kit seen on ebay. Do you reckon that would be suitable?
