Hi
1997 Surf SSR-G 3Ltr TD Auto
I am looking for help with a problem which is currently baffeling Toyota and 3 Auto-Electricians. When turning on ignition the 4WD indicator flashes and stays flashing when engine started, on depressing 4WD button on diff-lock selector lever it fails to engage 4WD. I have tried a new 4WD ECU, 11hrs in a Toyota garage, 10hrs at a 4WD centre and the only thing they found was 3 vacum pipes off the selenoids and a voltage drop (7v) on the selenoid at the rear of the transfer box and when the vacum pipe removed and selenoid pressurised it slowly releases pressure - the other 2 hold pressure.
Does anyone know if the voltage drop (7v) is right? what the vacum pipes connected to the 3 selenoids do?
I would realy appreciate some help before I decide to run the surf over a cliff!
Regards
Bob
