LED headlights....or is it?

hello again,

i had ordered 2 sets of headlights for the surf from Dubai. on my order i have told the guy that I would like them to be LEDs.

well the headlights arrived yesterday, and unfortunately they are normal halogen bulbs. But wait...there are these 4 LEDs in another plastic bag. (I have tried to attach a photo)

Now I'm thinking if the halogen glass can be removed from the case and replaced with those leds. What do you think?

in case you could do that, which leds are hi, and which are low beam?

oh ya...the connector is 3 pin but the LEDs have only two. what a bummer!

The led bulbs above are sidelight bulbs.

they are not sidelight bulbs, theh are much bigger

send em all back, no use to you. Those old style smd chipsets are not very bright.. The fitting is the same as an indicator rather than a sidelight.

i cant send them back (its complicated). all is not bad though, becuase the new halogen bulbs are much much brighter than the old tired ones. i might fit the LEDs as an auxiliary light after I purchase some reflector hosuings.

I have those leds as reversing bulbs, no where near bright enough for headlights!
