Greetings!
After parking the surf in a pond overnight some weeks ago, I've replaced a battery, the alternator and the ecu.
Now, predictably, the starter motor needs to come out.
It would have been under water, but did work ok for a while, but now just clicks.
I'm going to do the solenoid kit, and clean anything else I can see.
Having read on hear how to get the starter out, I made a start on removal.
I can see the 17mm nut for the cable, but I just can't find a way of maneuvering to undo it.
Any tips?
I thought of trying to release the motor first, but worried I'd damage the terminal if it's bashing about.
Any ideas very welcome.
Thanks
Barry
