            There you go, 3 batteries and a winch! Cheers RH.

            I obviously know what an alternator does...just wondered why you'd do this when the stock one seems to do a fine job on the 2 batteries.

            Now I know And now I know that when I get to the winch stage, if I do, this is a doable option.

            Someone, with welding skills, could make tidy packet (or some good extra income) making up all the brackets and mods we need on these trucks. There's loads of them

                  There are other reasons such as leisure...fridge, combi boiler, music, camping lights etc.
                  .... Which was nice.
