Is it possible to make lightbar/spot light?

I've just upgraded my interior lights with a home made led light board.
I'm very impressed with how bright they are and was just wondering if it would be possible to make a spot light/light bar from LEDs?
Do any of you know much about LEDs? What's your thoughts?

I've got the bug for making things at the moment but don't know much about LEDs. Not looking to spend mega bucks on something to get no satisfaction from.
