Dome light delay for alarm

Hoping someone can help, fitted an alarm immobiliser at the weekend, only bit that stumped me was the instructions for the dome light delay they didnt exist, all that appeared on the wiring diagram was a two feeds to door switch to selct polarity, and a seperate feed to a pin switch. I dont regard myself as dumbo when it comes to these things but I stuck.

Did they mean the interior light which on some cars has a delay
so when you close the door the light stays on for a while.
If the alarm is set it would notice the voltage drop and
set it self off?
