  • KZN130 Batterys - wow.

Yesterday my batteries finally gave up the ghost.
My truck is a 1994 - i've had it 8 years and its been in the UK 9 years now and the original Jap batteries have finally died. Not too bad! 90'000 miles 18 years old and many short trips.
Both replaced today with Bosch at what I think is the bargain price of £132 inc' from a Toyota specialist in Norwich on Sprowston Rd.
TBH I've never been so happy to spend £132 in a funny sort of way..

Pretty good going for a pair of original batteries, wonder what the record is?

Had to replace mine the other year & decided on Bosch aswell.
If its not broke don't fix it.

I only realised how old they were when I removed then and saw exactly what they were. We could have a battery record breakers

        .... Which was nice.

At the opposite end of the scale, we found the batteries in our LN130 failed after just four years - took the truck to Halfords and found the 2008-fitted batteries were down to 30% capacity and the truck was a right b***er to start in the mornings. I have no idea why the batteries died so quickly, but the truck's been fine with new batteries.

My little '99-model Fiesta, with 124,000 miles, still has its original battery, and is still strong enough to leave things charging overnight ^_^
An unmuddy off-roader is an unloved off-roader!
