Ignition lock solenoid?

My key keeps getting stuck in the ignition barrel, I've tried adjusting the gear linkage but it only ever seems to be a temporary fix.

It's getting pretty annoying and I've read that you can just unplug the solenoid for a quick fix. I've had a feel around though and can't work out which plug it is, do you have to remove the dash to get to it?

No, just the steering column shrouds.

There are 2 bundles of wires coming from the ignition barrell, the smaller bundle is for the 'solenoid'. I think...

I just had to do this recently too, as said above, you just have to remove the column shrouds, check out the image at http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_J_199...T_8401.11.html you just need to disconnect the wire to the solenoid, #85432 in the image, just don't forget to make sure you put it in park when stopped in the future!
