  • How can I tell....

I have a problem which I reckon is due to a duf battery. ie it often wont start in the morning, but kick into life really well with a jump start.

I know that the alternator is fine as after even a medium run, it continues to start fine, but if left for a day there is no juice left to start.

I am doubtfull that it would be both batteries so is there any way to check which battery is the duff one?

    Cheers

Your local garage will have a battery tester.

Even if it is one battery now, the longer you let one duff one carry on and keep jump starting it the more chance there is of the second one being damaged.
I've got a plan and it's as hot as my pants!

      Or by a £5 tester.

      10.6V dead
      13.6V full
