  • Too many warning lights

It would seem that the lights that come on when the ignition is on are staying on...
I've tried turning it off and on again, that didn't work, all the oil seems ok and both batteries are connected...

I was in 4wd when I noticed this, that's why the 4wd light is on.

    Help please
    Still Can't believe I own a Hilux

      Ok, I'll have a dig.
What's the best way to check if an alternator is dying?

Yup I had all the exact same lights on my truck a few months back.
Should find its your alternator, slap a multimeter on the battery terminals with it running and let us know what voltage its putting out, and voltage with a little revs too.

Cant really be sure by the photo but your battery gauge looks like its sitting way lower than mine would too

Also sounds silly but are the belts on alternator all ok as well?
Its a new truck, Because every parts been replaced

I did go through a fair amount recently yeah. So from what you're saying did yours clear up? I presume after it dried out...

If its is full of water should clear out pretty quick, best bet would probbly be pull off brushes cover/holder and clean out with air compressor to blow out any possible water, that way you would also be able to tell if your brushes are stuffed at the same time as that may be the cause too

Good luck its not too harder job btw, 1 hour tops is all it took me

edit: if the brushes are fine, fuse is all good and its not full of mud/water, shes probbly toast and time for a new one
