Hilux Surf SSR-G Speedo problem

I have an intermitant speedo which looks like an electrical connection problem. However I cannot find a wiring diagran that shows the connection.
Can anyone help or advise please ? Clive.

What year is your truck? '96-'02 is considered 3rd gen, earlier trucks are 1st or 2nd gens, and the wiring is different for each.

Thanks again. My Surf is a 5 seater estate, not a pick up. It is an import from Japan first registered in England in !993. I have no idea of it's year of manufacture in Japan. Clive

Look at the link - look at the pics. Which does yours look like? Simples.

Does yours have a LIFT UP tailgate or a DROP DOWN tailgate. Answer that correctly and we will tell you which generation Surf you have

Thanks all for your input. Regarding insurance my uk registration certificate states ' Imported vehicle- was registered/used overseas. declared manufactured 1993' This was the date used for insurance. If this is accurate then it must be 2nd. generation

Yes, 1993 would be a 2nd gen. 3rd gens start from late 1996.

The manufacture date will be on the seatbelt label .

My 3rd gen was built in Feb. '96, maybe you meant late '95?

Over here I have seen several '96 2nd gens. I've never seen a '95 3rd gen.
Does your 3rd gen have multi-mode 4WD? (centre diff)

Yes it does, and a lift up tailgate. Weird.
