Hi
put a manual box into my auto 2nd gen 3.0L.
with a bit of advice from Tony on here its running around fine with the auto box sensor plugged into place in my loom, set on park so it starts.
i've wired up the reversing lights no problem, but trying to by-pass the auto sensor for start is a bit more complicated.
i was wondering whether putting in a manual ecu might solve this,
or is it a different loom, creating other problems etc.
i'm currently using the old auto ecu i took out of mine a year ago when it gave up on overdrive. thinking as i no longer have overdrive it should run the engine o.k., and it seems fine.
i could just keep the auto sensor in place, but i'd like to find a better sollution if possible.
mechanic friend suggested wiring up a new start circuit, but there are feeds from the sensor to the dash etc so i'm not sure its that easy.
any thoughts?
many thanks
