Recently my rear window slowed right down and needed help closing. I decided to remove the whole mechanism, clean and lubricate. When it was replaced the window would go down but not up. I think I need to reprime the thick coiled spring which assists the motor to close the glass. HOWEVER now none of the windows work and nore does the central locking either. Have phoned the fine Toyota helpline at £1.50 per minute and spent about £18 for the guy to leaf through a 4 runner manuel to no avail. Its a real pain because its getting a tad warm in the cab as the a/c doesnt work either. My terrier doesnt think much of it either. Any help gratefully recieved.

B*****d tailgate window
Thanks guys, this would seem to be the way to go although I can find no evidence of a fuse that serves these two circuits, I spent an hour this morning checking all the old posts and checked, rechecked the fuses in the surf to no avail. Does anyone know the whereabouts of that elusive fuse??. I will check the tail gate insides tomorrow morning as something must have occurred there to start this all off.

fuses behind glove box, drivers side kick panel and the engine bay, can't remember which is for the windows etc.Say not always what you know, but always know what you say.
