overdrive button flashing when on?

hello,
Just wondering if anyone has had an issue with the (o/d off) flashing on the dashboard (2.4 auto ssr-x J plate) when it is on, If I turn it off on the auto gear lever the dash light stays on. When it's off, the dash light flashes?? I've had a couple of hilux's and have never come accross it.

Any thoughts would be of help

Check the atf levels and change or top up if needed.If that don't work then you'll need to do a diagnostics check
