Relocate batteries

Im still on the look out for a surf,

When I get one I want to have the batts in the rear, so sealed batts will be needed but would there be any draw backs of dong this as its similar to the bmw's?

is it just a case of extending the positive cables and grounding to the chassis?

What's your reason for doing that? I cant currently think of any...

You would probably need heavier than standard cables as a longer run means higher volts drop, and Surf starting in the winter when oil is thick and plugs are on for longer is pretty power hungry.
