LN130 Headlight change

Used search, and found great tips, decided to go for the front way oO
Suprisingly easy, four screws two either side of the sidelights, two big screws either side of the head lamps, then grill off, figured out how the retainer clips worked after almost breaking one hehe.
Grill off couple more large screws and headlight in hands.

Decided on some halfrauds super bright H4's asked about the £5.99 fitting; they wanted to look at the vehical first, and I got a "erm... I don't think we're covered to remove that many parts to change these"

So got home with the tool kit, pretty basic screwdrivers and cheap spanners only needed one spanner for the last bolt under the headlamps, wich didn't have a posidrive head like all the others.

While I was working on the beast, I felt like I was 5 years old again with a meccano set, everything fitted I could get my largish hands around stuff and there was a sense that I was _supposed_ to be unscrewing this and that, same putting back together.

Man I love my SURF.

If you're just changing the bulbs, it's far easier to just whip the batter(y|ies) out and access the units from behind.

Thank you Matt; but I was a bit concerned about moving batteries (yup winter pack, two of them) and header tanks.. not as confident as I'd like with this type of vehical just yet; I'll know next time.

Removing the batteries and the expansion tank is a lot easier than it appears. Exempting the battery connections, it's only a case of removing three bolts and lifting them out. Each battery clamp and the expansion tank is only secured by one bolt, and the expansion tank only has that one pipe feeding to it.

I bow to your greater experience, it looked like more of a job than my tools where upto, and the car was hot , hence my reluctence to mess with the header tank.

The new bulbs are much better I gotta say, didn't need high beam once; the old one had a deposit of whatever it is at the bottom, looked like they had just worn out.
