3rd gen t-belt light reset

Hi My T-Belt light came on as it went through the 100k. I had it changed 5k ago. I found a thread that says to reset it you have to remove the dial assy and move a plug.
1. How do you remove/replace the dial assy
2. Which plug need moving and to where?

May sound like novice stuff but it has me buggered.
I would really appreciate some help with this

No idea how similar the dash is to the 2nd gens, but have a peek here:

It's very similar to mattf's post for the second gen, the only difference I can see is the two screws at the top of the black panel (as per second gen) but there is also another screw hidden behind the ignition cover.
Basically, undo the four screws for the large panel below the steering wheel and drop it out of the way (you don't actually HAVE to do this but it makes it easier when pulling the cover panel out for the clocks as they catch on it), the cover over the ignition key switch is just held in with push fit catches, one upper left and one lower right, just pull this towards you starting with the lower right, this reveals the third screw mentioned earlier.
Looking at the clocks, undo the two top screws and the third one mentioned by the ignition, lower your steering wheel if you haven't already and gently pull out the black panel over the clocks. You should now be left looking at the clocks with just the clear lens over them, the lens is just clipped on and easily comes out if you want to remove it (not necessary), you will also see four screws on the four corners of the white clock unit, undo these and the whole unit can then be pulled out. Take a look at the photo on the above post and you will instantly see screw you need, just undo it and put it into the other hole, just quickly start the surf and take a look at your clocks just to make sure all is in order and you haven't pulled any of the three plugs out from the back.
Put the whole lot back and bobs your monkey's pyjama fairy.

Thanks everyone it worked. bit of a leap of faith punching through that bit of paper covering the hole, And I only damaged one scree so not to bad

basically take the bottom of the dash out and work your way up looking for screw. when that's done the dials are held in by 4 screws, once removed you just wiggle the dials out very gently, turn it over and look for the screw you have to take out and put in the next hole as per previous post. then re-assemble. test the dash before you put it all back together as there are a lot of connections to come loose. and that's about it. took about 30mins and I'm no mechanical genius

i jsut took the grommet out and pressed the timing belt reset button.. hope this helps

Not really. You have a different vehicle. All of the thread refers to the 3rd gen, which does not have the grommet/ reset in front. Thats why its such a faff to reset.
