  • indicators problem

Hi Guy’s, I need your expertise again.
Now my left hand side indicators are working at double of the speed than the right hand side ones, just started yesterday, does anyone know how to revert it back to the normal speed? And also what may have caused it to happen?
Thanks for any help on this one.

may sound silly, but have you checked all bulbs on the 'fast' side including wing mounted indicator

Sorry if it does sound strange but I am useless about car technical things, I know the bulbs are working, what else should I look for?
      Thanks

Mine occasionally does this, its the front bumper indicator, its got a loose connection and stops working and the other indicators got into overdrive. Next time it happens leave it on and get out and double check they are all working.

Thanks Simon, Thanks Nigel & Julie. You guys were spot on; one of the bulbs (rear) is not working; now my next question is, if is a loose connections fine, just to connect it back, if the bulb is gone? Which bulb can I use? Will a 4runner one from the same year work on it? I have a 92 Hilux Surf.

          Thanks for the help

It's a standard bayonet fitting indictor bulb. Should be able to get them from Halfords easy. Same bulb as fitted to the indicators of most cars.

have a look inside the bulb connector and check that the contacts aren't dirty, mine were, clean them with a little switch cleaner.

            Cheers

Thanks Andy, I think I will try to sort it out on Weekend.
