Hi, I have a 1992 Surf SSR-X with a 2LT-E engine. Whilst driving it along it just cut out as if it ran out of fuel. It started again and drove fine. This happened again the next day, I left it for half an hour and it started again this carried on happening. I took it to the local turbodiesel specialist where it has been now for almost 6 months. The spill control valve has been changed and the voltage to the valve is 4 volts BUT the voltage back to the ecu is 12 volts from the valve on one side, the ecu was changed but still no improvement. The garage has now sid that its a wiring fault and not worth fixing any ideas would be appreciated.

have you checked for air getting in anywhere.sometimes the fuel primer can be the cause of air.Also when you release the fuel filler cap does it hiss and if so then the breather will be blocked.There is a small filter/valve on top of the fuel tank so you may need to change that.You could drill a small hole in the filler cap aswell to release any pressure in the tankhttps://www.facebook.com/groups/henpals/

As I said before, take the truck to a proper garage or a good auto electrician. My thoughts are that it's an electrical problem, but don't hold me to that as I've not seen the truck!Do you know that, with a 50 character limit, it's

but the Surf won't fit. (time to build a car port I think.)
Not many garages, including dealers, understand 4WD at
the best of times, especially the Toyota A.D.D. I'm afraid.
When I get stuck I ask on HERE.
Think your problem is wiring to injector pump.
