i am in the way of swapping in a 1kz engine into my 2l Hilux/surf.
so far so good, the engine is in and runs but there is a problem with the alternator. The connectors do not fit so i have to modify the connectors.
The big + cable is not a problem, this is clear, but there is a connector with 3 wires. unluckily the colors do not match from my 2L wiring harness to the 1kz wiring harness.
on the 2L i have blue, black and green. one of them has +12v, the other turns off all lights on the stash when connected to +12v, the third i would assume is - or for the tach.
On the 1kz there are red, yellow and white and all 3 have +12v.
has anyone done this before? what cables should be connected together?
does anyone have the wiring diagrams of a 93 2L hilux/surf and a 92 1kzt 4runner?
any hints what i could do to find out how to connect the alternator?
