KZN185 How to adjust the glow plug timer?

HEY, IT HAS BECOME A GOOD THREAD
I can see my thread has grown into a useful information platform thanks to all of you who posted here. Even the few sharp words exchanged do not spoil it in my opinion.
My test confirmed TonyN's graph. The voltage stays constant for 180-200sec on a cold start. There was no drop in voltage and I can not test the amperage (current) since I have sold my KZN185.
I decided to keep my LN130 2.4 2T-LE instead. The KZN185 has more power and batter ride but feels more like a car... Unlike the LN130 that feels like a proper JEEP; TRUCK; what ever you want to call it... or may be it's just me getting old and preferring earlier model instead of a later one... I hope that will change and I will get a 2000-2001 SURF one day...
Meanwhile if anyone conducts the amperage test please post the results here. I am very curious to find out if the amperage drops at some point during this 200sec period.
Thanks again

Glow Plugs
I took a load test last night on my 3ltr 1998 3rd Gen auto Surf and it was about 32 to 33 amps steady, then it timed out after about 35 secs as the engine was not stone cold.
The resistance of the plugs is 1 ohm each.
Hope this helps.

Conclusion
Thanks Mike.
OK so we can conclude that there is no 2 stage heating in the KZN185 and may be that goes for KZN135 since they both use the same engine.
There is no need for turning the ignition key on and off to get extra heating - just waiting 20secs (or more in the Winter) will ensure proper heating and easy start.
...Eeeeerrrm unless Matt has a different opinion...

Allfriends.
That seems to button it up.
I somewhat thought that all along but as you indicated someone will disagree with us and come up with some other idea.
I did not think Toyota were as silly as have you turn the key on off on off a few times it is just plain stupid to even think that way.
Just imagine living in North America or northern Canada, you would have to change the ignition switch every few weeks as it would be worn out.
Lastly , all I can say is that is how MINE works, as sure as god made little green apples, someone will have a "SPECAL".
Best regards./

Re. your first para.
It is impossible to destroy energy, therefor the pre heat wattage / energy put in to the swept area of the cylinder by electrical means remains the same with or without the introduction of diesel fuel.
Re. the second statement, I am sorry but I do not grasp what you mean.
