Speedo/ idle issue

I have a 94 Surf SSR-G ,5 spd manual,3.0 TD.When i disconnect the speedo,it idles extremely low only after driving a few k's.Does anyone know why this is,and how to fix it? (APART FROM RECONECTING THE SPEEDO).Cheers,Karl.

Reconnect the speedo and stop trying to con everybody into thinking the vehicle has less mileage than it really has done.

This vehicle is a dedicated OFF ROAD ONLY vehicle.This is why it does not run a speedo.In fact,it has no dash at all.I plugged an instrument cluster into the wiring via the original loom and the idle issue went away.But,the way the interrior is set up,i cannot leave this in when i use the vehicle.Hope this is ok by you Nev.
