          rear window

          just done mine last week.
ikle up, ikle down, then notasausage.
          motor stuck fast.
went to rear to work window off the key , and persuaded her down.
          flipped down the tail,
          popped cover panel off,
          reveals steel plate, removed screws,
peel poly membrane "try not to rip".
          reveals motor.
couple of more screws removes top plastic to glass rubber.
remove handle and connecting bar. lock and bar also.
put screw driver through locks left and right to trick sensors door is closed.
shift window up and down to see bottom of window.
loosen heated rear screen terminals and scoosh hose.
loosen motor housing bolts, but leave in a bit.
key up the window fully and remove by sliding left and right out of the runner.
place in a very very very safe place,
          a very verry safe place.
remove all bolts and lead blocks and wiggle motor and legs out of slot.
may need to turn and squeeze a bit.
be careful to fix legs with a length of pipe or timber with tape,
if they move when you take the motor off can cause pink bits to bleed, "very strong spring.
remove motor, strip and clean, reassemble, then work back the way.
          bish bash bosh.
          worky, worky.
and dont blame me if you brake somthing.
          took me around 2 hrs.
1.5 if my 2 and 6 yr old boys kept out my tool box.
          good luck.

          remember,
put the glass somwhere verry verry safe

yer gona hav to get glass down.
use key @ rear and pop a bod in boot.
as you key, hand on glass and person on the inside hand on glass.
push the glass down when on the key.
its the only way to get tail down to get motor out.
striping it from the inside is a shop front.
if no luck try from inside !!!
if you get a klick sound when you key, its from relay in rear n/s quarter,
so sounds like it gets juice.
you can easily check by puting a meter on wires while someone ops the key or switch.
              dont give in !!
the force is strong in this one.
to take it to the dark side, shame it be to.
for garage we must away keep.
for this job,big big lolly thay will take, and keep,to run a banger at the next race meet.
for this to pass, sorry i would be.
unless you use mind trick for cash job,no vat.

              good luck !

Cripes, poetry corner found lurking in the electrical section

If you're getting a click but no movement, probably the relay's gone. Check you've got power at the motor and you will know if it's a motor problem or the relay.

Relay box is about £250 from Toyota so, if it's that, either get one from a breaker or, if you're handy with a soldering iron, you can buy replacement relays from Maplin and put them in yourself.

If it's the motor, there are various fixes that might help. You can take one out of a rear door for now and pick one up from a corolla at a scrappies.
