  • dash lights again lit up !

thought i had this sorted but obvisley not !

last time i cleaned the earth strap and also removed a wire thats some clown had put on that was on the postive side of battery witch i traced back and it just ended and went to nowt,

and did a 140 mile round trip the same morning and the surf ran spot on,

so tonight after half an hour of driving it hapend again, the altornator is charging ok and the battery gadge on the dash is just under the 18 mark,

so can any think of out else ????????

It should be under 15V, not up near 18V. Get your alternator tested.

Depends where you go. If you have a local auto sparks who can refurb/repair alternators, try them. If not, you'll have to go on the hunt for a replacement.

I'd get a replacement off Stormforce whilst he's got breaking fever.

I'd love to know why the engine size is such a secret, 'cos I have an alternator from a 2.4 here too!

I would be worried about the gauge underneath it

That looks like it is within the "acceptable" range.

Is it the battery warning light on? Properly or just dimly?
