  • Flippin' eck!

    Hi All,

I desperately need 2 new batteries as my Surf will not start after 3/4 days sitting idle!

    I cannot believe the prices!!!

I managed to find 2 on a website and thought I was onto a winner!

    £52.76 each plus VAT

When I went to pay for them look what happened!

    LOL!

    I nearly crapped me self!

I live in Northern Ireland NOT Northern Japan!!!!

Does anyone know where I can walk in and buy 2 off the shelf, 088 & 089?

Does Halfords, Motor Factors or Kwik Fit etc. do them?

    I got mine from http://www.batmanuk.com/

they were very good and quick but I also remember seeing a fair few posts on here and most guys just find some local car store and generally get a good deal from them, try to avoid the larger chains they all make too much of a mark up.

main dealers actually seem to be shockingly cheap for batteries, gotta be worth a try. Halfords will be around £70 a battery as a rough guestimate, local motor factors also should sell them and should be cheaper than halfords but prices vary wildly. Kwik-fit, i would also imagine do them as they normally have the free battery check offer on, (you drive in, they connect a red LED to your battery and tell you if it lights up you need a new battery, if it doesn't it's borderline, and if it goes green your fine )

Main dealer was the cheapest for me when I shopped around last month.
