4runner amplified stereo has no power

hi, i have had the voltmeter onto the cig lighter and found there is power going to it, but there is no power going to the stereo lead, its dead !
ive checked the fuse under the steering wheel and the fuse is ok,
any ideas guys ?

Sounds like a break in the wire possibly after the fuse box
If you fancy a trip down to Brum one weekend i'd gladly have a look at it for you may mean running new cable out of fuse box to radio.
