  • Pulling codes on a 3rd Gen?? Possible at home?

Hiya... is it possible to pull codes at home on my 3rd gen without any readers?

Is it a matter of a paper clip and read the flashes??
If so where does it go and is there a list of codes? (I tried search)

I don't think I've ever done the codes on a 3rd gen yet, but one of my workshop manuals is for a 99' 1KZ/TE, and covers the paperclip/wire and count the flashes way, and with proper plug in test tools, so I don't think it'll be a problem.

I bought this book from Rough Traxs, & it has all the flash codes for the
1KZTE in it.....I haven't had the need to study it yet, but it looks to be all there.

ABS codes are found by joining Tc and E1

I'll scan the codes and post them in the sticky thread later.

I found a link, (will post tomorrow its on my work PC) turns out its code 33, so that disturbed wire I mentioned in the other thread is probably it... I just need to find the plug where it goes! I am guessing its the loom under the rear seats... I'll have a look this weekend...

                  Thanks for your help guys
