My turbo doesn't seem to be doing what it should. I don't think there's any boost.
The green light comes on when I start the engine but it never comes on whilst driving. I lose power in a big way when going up hills on the motorway - I have a top speed somewhere between 40 and 60mph depending on the steepness of the hill.
I'm fairly sure the turbo itself is working because you can see the actuator arm working.
There are no split pipes.
Before I spend lots of money on diagnostic tests etc, is there anyone near Letchworth that would let me try their turbo switch in my vehicle so that I can try and narrow down exactly where the problem lies? If it is the switch that's faulty I'll be the happiest man alive - I'd far rather spend a few quid on a switch than £200, £300 or £500 at Turbo Technics.
Can anyone help?
